Bottled water is increasingly becoming a popular alternative to drinking tap water. Bottled water is safer to drink, it tastes better, it’s easily accessible, and its quality is better than tap water. Yet, there are many differences between the different brands of bottled water, especially when it comes to health benefits. Some brands of bottled water are healthier than other brands. One of the more healthier brands of bottled water is Waiakea, and what makes it healthier than other brands is its alkalinity.
Many brands of bottled water that advertise as being alkaline water are given its pH balance through a machine. Waiakea’s naturally alkaline water comes from the Mauna Loa volcano area and is filtered through 14,000 feet of porous volcanic rock. The pH balance works on a scale of one through 14. A healthy pH balance for the body to ward off diseases is 7.4. A number below 5.5 is too acidic for the body and can have harmful side effects over the long-term. A higher number means the water is too alkaline, which can also have negative side effects. Waiakea’s water pH balance of 8.2 is a healthy level for the body.
Waiakea water was created by its founder and CEO Ryan Emmons, who was looking for a sustainable source of healthy and good tasting water. He found that source near his uncle’s home at the base of Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii. There is a constant supply of water because it rains up to 360 days a year in this area. The natural filtration process that Waiakea’s water goes through packs it with minerals and provides it with a neutral alkaline balance.
Waiakea is an eco-friendly company that works with emission consultants to help reduce the company’s negative environmental impact. The company also uses sustainable packaging that uses less energy and water to manufacture, and they are involved in reforestation initiatives in Hawaii. Through their environmental initiatives and great tasting Hawaiian volcanic water, Waiakea has become one of the most awarded bottled water company’s in North America.

Female entrepreneurs arrived from many industries including real estate, fashion, tech and politics. They told stories of the challenges they faced in running some of the most innovative businesses in the world. The event lasted for a full day and included Jennifer Garner, Katrina Lake and Emily Chang. Katrina Lake spoke of female entrepreneurs receiving so little funding. She said the lack of visual representation was pathetic. She was the first female CEO who took a company public. This occurred in 2017 for Stitch Fix. She believes there are simply not enough women in the higher positions in the world of business.
Female entrepreneurs like Whitney Wolfe Herd have spoken on numerous occasions as to the importance of breaking down all the barriers for women. Many believe the issue is about diversity because this has provided companies with a better performance. When the team for any business is diverse the set of ideas placed on the table are much broader. This means a lot of blind spots can be eliminated when the important decisions are being made. As the new era of female entrepreneurs continue to fight for other women the scale is beginning to balance.
When Doe Deere is passionate about two things: making her own vegan and cruelty-free makeup and fairy tales. In fact, when she names her make up products, she thinks about the fact that fairy tales like to rhyme just for the sake of it. She states that she loves playing around with words and that was actually the way she came up with the name Lime Crime. She also states that she enjoys using puns in her makeup line and that one of her favorites is Airborne Unicorn.
Lime Crime is a very unique brand of beauty products that was founded by Doe Deere in 2008. She says that the brand of makeup became profitable after just one year. The company started with eyeshadows and powders, but it really took off upon the establishment of Lime Crime’s famous lipsticks and glosses. Today, Lime Crime is best known for its lip products. In fact, the company’s line of lipsticks has developed a fan base that has been compared to a cult. Once a woman tries Lime Crime lipsticks they become as loyal a follower as ever and will continue to purchase from the company for years to come.
Lime Crime was founded by Doe Deere after she built a line of clothing that she made by hand. She designed and made her own clothing and sold it online. While the clothing was a big hit with women across the world, Doe Deere continued to question whether or not a clothing line was a permanent destination for her life’s work. She graduated with a degree in fashion and spent a brief period of time working in the world of high fashion before she started her own line of clothing, which was also originally called Lime Crime.
Doe Deere came up with the idea to sell her own beauty products based solely on the fact that she couldn’t find the colors that she wanted to use when she modeled her clothing line. She typically hosted online tutorials and posted images to social media and her blog of her wearing her clothing. She wanted to do her own makeup for the images and video and wanted to wear her bright, bold makeup when she modeled the clothes. She had a tough time finding makeup that was of a high enough quality to meet her standards. Many of the lipsticks in the bold shades she wanted either looked like cheap Halloween makeup or were not a rich enough quality to appear well on camera.
Doe Deere wanted to create a high-quality line of makeup that was also vegan friendly and not tested on animals. Thus, Lime Crime shifted from a clothing line to a business that sold the highest quality of beauty products. The beauty products are available both online and in stores in the United States and throughout the world.
Doe says that her company focuses on one thing: the fact that beauty and beauty products should make you feel happy. She believes that there is no point in using a beauty products unless it transforms you! Learn more: https://www.linkedin.com/in/doedeere
